The exhibitions at Drei Zinnen / Tre Cime Nature Park Visitor Center, which is located in the Grand Hotel in Neu-Toblach / Dobbiaco Nuovo, provide insight into Drei Zinnen / Tre Cime Nature Park and the eastern section of Fanes-Sennes-Prags / Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.

The center offers information concerning the natural and man-made landscapes of both parks, the geology of the Sexten / Sesto Dolomites, the military conflict that raged along the Dolomite front, the beginnings of Alpine mountain climbing, and the history of tourism in Hochpustertal / Alta Pusteria valley.

The first floor invites you to linger: to relax - a library with a reading corner, to observe - an aquarium representing the water life of the Toblach lake and to discover - an adventure workshop for children. The special exhibitions are also presented here.

Permanent exhibition on Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage

The exhibition is located in the subterranean annex and is divided into two areas:

A large space is taken up by the world-wide dimension of the UNESCO World Heritage. The biggest World Heritage Sites such as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Grand Canyon National Park in the United States or the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia are on the same level as our Dolomites and, according to UNESCO, are among the largest and the most deserving protection landscapes on earth. All these sites have one thing in common: their uniqueness and their authenticity.

The other big part of the exhibition is devoted to the geological and geomorphological characteristics of the Dolomites in the high part of the Puster valley. With short texts, attractive visual material, video installations and simple animations, the most important earth-historical events in the Sexten and Prags Dolomites are presented and explained in a comprehensible manner.

Two central elements characterize this space: a large time clock, with which significant, cyclically recurring events of the earth's history, such as, for example, the ice ages, are explained in a clear manner. Furthermore, a large three-dimensional model made of wood, which focuses on the geological structure of the Sexten and Prags Dolomites.

In a smaller space, the visitor is taken, through a video installation aboard the fascinating and breathtaking landscapes of the Dolomites.
